Building Maori cultural capability,
capacity and competency.
ABOUT US
The Tūhono Collective represents a community of organisations and individuals dedicated to growing Māori cultural capability, capacity and competency.
“Tū” is an abbreviated representation of Tūmatauenga, the Māori deity of strategy. “Hono” literally means “to connect”. "Tuhono, in this context, means "to bring people together".
We deliver bespoke services from a Māori perspective including, coaching, training, mediation services, conflict resolution and facilitation services, cultural support and supervision and more.
We've developed a tikanga-based, Māori dispute resolution framework "Tūhono" which seeks to establish unique pathways for resolving disputes using Māori beliefs, principles, values and practices that derive from traditional knowledge (mātauranga Māori).
